In this case it was the smart way out. Was he guilty, we will never know. The DA admitted this was an abnormal use of the charges. Would their creative charges have stood up in court or on appeal? We will never know. What we do know, in this day and age, he was already guilty in the court of public opinion. He sounds like an a-hole of a coach. There was, as I read it, a single accusation of sexual misconduct with a minor. He may be guilty as hell, but we will never know for sure. If that was his intention then he took the smart way out. Those who advocate for him will always point out the charges were not the normal application of the law and claim he was just a tough coach. Those who claim he was an abusive coach will never be able to prove it. Even if innocent, he already lost in today’s environment. Instead of losing he took his own life and left it as a draw. To be clear, if he did any of that to my daughter, I would buying the drinks tonight.
Innocent, normal thinking people generally don’t take themselves out if they’ve been falsely accused.
Agree. Something off here. Nassar had hundreds of accusers. This guy one from years ago thrown in with a bunch of other made up charges by a politically ambitious DA. I don’t trust this DA at all. Nassar is definitely guilty. This guy who knows. Regardless, case is closed.
its a terrible world when you can't trust the justice system in any way....not to protect our children and not to protect our civil rights.
He’s better off imho.
