John Geddert, a former USA Gymnastics coach who was charged with sex crimes and human trafficking Thursday, has died by suicide, according to multiple reports.
Geddert, 63, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound Thursday afternoon, Michigan state officials told local news station WLNS.
The Attorney General’s Office, which had just announced the charges at a news conference, did not immediately return a request for information.

Well, shame on Michigan for electing this evil person !
“ Nessel was sworn into office on January 1, 2019.[10] She is the first openly gay person and first openly LGBTQ person elected to statewide office in Michigan.[11][12] She is the first Democrat to serve as attorney general since Jennifer Granholm left the office in 2003, a gap of 16 years.[13]”. Do you really need an “on or about” to describe a THREE YEAR PERIOD?
What a vague charge!
SMELL’s LIKE COMPLETE TOTAL BULLSHIT .

FELONY: 15 years and/or $15,000.00.”
COVID-19 claims another victim.
The DA is a far left loon lesbian.
I’m sure she hates men, and this case was her way of working out her own self-hatred.
I was surprised that this scandal didn’t gut the MSU athletic program.
I’ll take”Killed to Protect Important People” for $1000,Alex.
Not buying all these suicides.
Did he shoot himself TWICE?
Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not out to get you!
So I 2012, Geoffery was head coach of the US Olympic team.
“He coached Olympic champion Jordyn Wieber and was a head coach for the London 2012 US Olympic Gymnastics Team. “
“ Oct. 17, 2011
Twistars gymnast and DeWitt native Jordyn Wieber wins the all-around competition at the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Tokyo and shifts her focus to the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
Wieber thrives as a member of the first-place U.S. women’s gymnastics team coached by Geddert.
Nov. 11, 2011
Michigan State Police investigate Geddert for assault and battery after a Twistars employee complains that Geddert assaulted her in the parking lot outside the facility, according to police records.
The woman says Geddert stepped on her foot to prevent her from walking away, and later “chest bumped” the woman.
Prosecutors decline to press charges, writing that “the physical contact does not constitute an assault; we cannot prove assaultive intent beyond a reasonable doubt.”
2012
Geddert earns U.S. Elite Coach of the Year honors and is announced as head coach for the U.S. Olympic women’s gymnastics team.
At the Olympics competition in London, Geddert directs a team dubbed the “Fierce Five” to numerous gold medals. The group includes Wieber, Gabby Douglas, McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman and Kyla Ross.
Nassar, who frequently treats gymnasts at Twistars, serves as the team’s doctor.
2013
On Oct. 15, Michigan State Police begin to investigate Geddert after a second allegation of assault and battery. A juvenile gymnast tells police Geddert grabbed her arm and stepped on her foot.
Geddert says he was disciplining the girl and grabbed her to sit her down on a bench. Prosecutors again decline to press charges, but force Geddert to get counseling. ”
My wife knew Geddert from her competitive and her coaching days. She was shocked to hear this. She was also treated occasionally by Larry Nassar, and was happy to hear of his demise. That was a creepy bunch to be alone with young girls...
Hunter’s been outed; I seriously doubt he’ll ever be charged with anything.
This sort of stuff always gets me thinking philosophically. Practice perverted behavior, if that was his behavior, of a creepy nature, for enjoyment of some nerve endings, muscle spasms, add into the mix a deluded sadistic power over someone. Risk all personal freedom, bet the farm won’t get caught. Risk a life of misery in prison, public humiliation, loss of everything if caught. Throw it all away for some occasional nerve ending stimulation.
Different from money you will be taking it with you and where you are going you will wish you hadn’t.
Many former gymnasts have described Geddert’s coaching style as intense, strict, and abusive. Several former gymnasts have recounted that Geddert repeatedly told them to kill themselves. He was known to throw items in his gym when angered. On one occasion, Geddert shoved a gymnast forcefully enough for her to sustain a black eye, ruptured lymph nodes in her neck, and torn muscles in her stomach. In 2013, Geddert was under criminal investigation for his abusive treatment of gymnasts. The Eaton County Prosecutor’s office stated there was enough evidence to charge Geddert, but allowed Geddert to seek counseling instead. In December 2013, a former employee of Geddert contacted USA Gymnastics to inform them of Geddert’s abuse of his athletes. USA Gymnastics stated they addressed the letter writer’s concerns with Geddert, though the specific actions by USA Gymnastics were never made public. Geddert retired from coaching on January 23, 2018, one day after USA Gymnastics announced that he was suspended pending an investigation into his alleged abuse.

"Nassar's cumulative sexual assault crimes were the basis of the USA Gymnastics sex abuse scandal that began in 2015, in which he was accused of assaulting at least 265 young women and girls dating back to 1992. His victims included numerous Olympic and United States women's national gymnastics team gymnasts. Nassar has admitted to 10 of those accusations.""Geddert and Nassar's close personal and professional relationships have led some to suspect that Geddert was aware of Nassar's abuse but did nothing about it. Many former gymnasts and parents have asserted that the intense and abusive environment Geddert created in his gym allowed for Nassar, a quiet and seemingly gentle doctor who regularly volunteered at Geddert's gym, to easily groom gymnasts and gain their trust. Several gymnasts have admitted that Geddert created such a hostile environment that they were unable to approach Geddert about the abuse. At least one former gymnast testified that Geddert walked in on a supposed medical session while Nassar was digitally penetrating her. The witness stated that Geddert joked about her injury and left the room."
As usual, FU.
I have no idea if the guy was guilty or not. But imagine being in that situation.
That is sick.
At he wasn’t high maintenance.
I see. That would make more sense. One of the links from earlier states “arrested” in the URL so I think I got the assumption there that he was in custody.
“Uncle Joe” AKA “The Big Guy” and the other pederasts are breathing easier now.
