I have not used this addon, but based on the pic shown, I would say that NoScript would be a more accurate way of viewing the web.

Rather than locking entire pages, just do not load anything from google, MS, etc.

That's what I do.

The author says that NoScript does a functional job all the same. This addon was not designed to be a functional implementation of anything, it was just meant to show how prolific are the big tech titans in our modern browsing.

Try running NoScript in strict mode, and you’ll soon find that most websites just don’t work.

Absolutely... Best tool out there for blocking 3rd party scripts. I do not mind one bit that I have to occasionally selectively unblock one or two scripts like JS or a video player yet be able to still block the other 30 or so that are completely unneeded to make the site function as it should. It even blocks the new 3 or 4 that JS also tries to load after you turn it on.
