I had a great Dad as my driving teacher and drove standards for much of my life. I can’t believe the above sentence. That’s the way I drive, but most people don’t. It seems like most of the time that I have someone in the car with me, sooner or later the comment is made, “why is your left foot just sitting there, why don’t you use it on the brake.”
I always resist the urge to say, “because I don’t want to drive down the street with the accelerator and brake BOTH being depressed like so many of you idiots do.”
Odds are that those folks have never, ever driven a vehicle with a manual transmission.
