Looks like a duck, walks like a duck, talks like a duck.

It sounds like a missile to me.

Note that both China and Russia are supposedly ahead of us on hyperfast missile technology.

Why should anyone doubt the government/military are testing these and do NOT want to acknowledge that?

In fact, from an OPSEC point of view, it makes sense to let people think it is aliens.

Sure, the U.S. Air Force shoots missiles a few hundred feet over passenger aircraft transiting mid-America. Perfectly routine.
