Thats a real steep downhill on Hawthorne there, real easy to get going too fast, especially if you are in a hurry. He crashed from driving too fast and losing control, no excuses. But I don’t want to hear any crap about a “dangerous” road, it’s been there 60 frikkin years and thousands drive it daily, I have at least a thousand times

This is why I don’t own an SUV. Rollovers are way too common. A “spinout” accident with a single car becomes a “rollover” accident if you’re driving an SUV.

I get breaking news alerts from Google on my phone. I just got an alert for Tiger Woods. I didn’t get one for Rush Limbaugh dying.

Perhaps worth noting that he was driving an Genesis SUV. Genesis is the sponsor of his tournament there. It was almost certainly a tournament courtesy car. I’ve drive that SUV. It’s not a sports SVU like a Cayanne or X5M. Instead, it’s very luxurious, plush. (and a really good value for the money, IMO).

My spidey sense tells me HE WAS TEXTING, then overreacted when he looked back up at the road!
MARK IT!

Based on video I have seen, this guy was traveling way too fast and lost total control, rolling the vehicle multiple times.

Btw, people on the scene now say this vehicle traveled over 300 yards, completely out of control. The would put the vehicle way over the posted speed limit. That’s why I said, it *almost* looks like a suicide attempt. Either that or this guy is just a crazy stupid driver who rolled the dice and lost.

The guy seemed to be back on track. Prayers up for he and his family.

As usual I see we have to cheap remarks that don’t need to be here.
I had a good friend who was traveling at the stated speed and rolled his suv many years ago, he ended up paralyzed for life. Tiger is lucky to walk away with no major injuries.

Somehow, I just knew that this thread would turn into a pissing match.

Prayers up for Tiger.
He’s going to need extensive surgeries to put his legs back together.
But he’s lucky to be alive.
Thank God for the amazing first responders.
