Tiger Woods was hospitalized after being involved in a single-car accident in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning. The extent of any potential injuries, as well as the circumstances of the accident, remain unclear.
Woods, 45, was in California for a two-day content shoot with Golf Digest/GOLFTV after serving as host for the PGA Tour's Genesis Invitational over the weekend. Pictures surfaced on social media of Woods smiling with Dwayne Wade and David Spade at Rolling Hills Country Club on Monday, but with his movement still restricted, he did not hit balls or play any holes. The shoot involved Woods giving on-course lessons to a number of celebrities, but he mostly provided instruction and hit a few putts. He was in good spirits on Monday but did not arrive to the course for the second day of shooting.
On Sunday, Woods told CBS’ Jim Nantz that he was awaiting the results of an upcoming MRI before he could ramp up practicing and training for a return to competition.
Woods last competed alongside his son at the PNC Championship, which finished on Dec. 20 in Orlando. He then underwent a microdiscectomy procedure to remove a pressurized disc fragment that was pinching a nerve. It was his fifth back surgery overall and the first since his spinal fusion in April 2017.
Enough already.
It's really obvious to me you know very little in this area. An accident is getting hit in the head by a asteroid...Or maybe a deer jumping in front of your vehicle. Running a red light, or traveling way over the speed limit, losing control for about 300 freaking yards, rolling your vehicle and plowing into trees is NOT an accident. It's why the pros call them vehicle collisions, not accidents.
Most collisions are NOT mere accidents. There are damn good reasons for these collisions and most of it is directly caused by neglect, inattention, DUI, excessive speed etc.
none of us were there...
assuming anything on how it happened is stupid and i’m smart enough not to play that game...
Oh wait, so a single car collision with no one else involved, which loses all control, rolling and mowing down signs, trees, striking other objects and travels out of control for 300 flipping yards...And you don’t want to say the vehicle was traveling too fast?
That’s fine. With your limited experience that’s a smart move.
Enough already. Again.
This thread is full of wild speculation. Why would CNN be any different?
Care to explain this demand of yours? What are you talking about? I was not even having an exchange with you.
I swear some of the crap people on FR say, and people think only one side is hateful.
you obviously are intending to stay stuck on stupid while assuming you have more experience than me when you don’t have a clue who i am or how many car and truck wrecks that i’ve cleaned up for the almost past 30 years... slick
again... smart people never assume anything... slick
btw: i operate a 24/7/365 automotive towing service... slick 😂
He could have pulled a Big Lebowski and dropped a roach.
And Speed = Distance the post traveled divided by the time.
For example, if the sign and post was 6 feet high, the time it took for it to fall and hit the ground would be .61 seconds. If the sign post landed 50 feet away, the speed of travel would be 82 feet per second or, 55.9 miles per hour. If the sign post landed 75 feet away, the speed of travel would be 84 mph (I used a feet/sec to mile/hour calculator). Hawthorne Boulevard has a speed limit of 45 mph. The air bags and seat belt saved him.
You jumped the shark way back when you speculated Tiger was trying to commit suicide. Since then, your speculative arguments have become more tiring. Enough already. Again and again and again.
How far would you estimate that post flew before it landed in the road?
I am able to do this because I have these mysterious powers of deduction. Seriously, after seeing a single vehicle lose control, hit a center divider, a large sign, cross over into on-coming traffic lanes, thankfully no one was in his path, with the vehicle starting to roll at some point, crossing both on-coming lanes, and travels approximately 300 yards, per helicopter pilots, then traveled up onto the shoulder, plowing through brush and into a stand of trees.
Hence, I can safely say this guy was going *way* too fast not to mention the ugly fact most all single vehicle collisions are the fault of the driver. But don't believe me, ask any cop.
If you don’t like my comments, move on. Again, I was not even having an exchange with you.
What is WRONG with you?
Woods was married to a Swedish bombshell who HAD A TWIN SISTER.
Where am I making fun of his accident? Of course prayers up.
But sheesh, dating a natural blonde who has a twin sister and cheating on her?
Was he driving a Buick?
LOL—I posted the thread, silly. You do repeat yourself a lot.
You posting the thread is very commendable, but I was not even having an exchange with you when you said you’d, “Had enough”. That came out of nowhere.
Btw, I don’t think you get to make the rules or are assigned special authority to censor comments you don’t happen to like, just because you posted the thread.
