Indiana Republicans scored a victory in restoring citizens' Second Amendment rights after the House voted to eliminate the requirement for law-abiding gun owners to obtain a license to carry a handgun in the state. On Monday, state lawmakers passed House Bill 1369 on a 65-31 vote and it will now head to the Senate.

I had talked with a county deputy sheriff about getting a handgun license last summer. He said that if I wasn’t in a hurry, that the law was going to be revoked in the next year or two. Looks like he was right.

My view on constitutional carry is, it’s the 2nd Amendment and it is now not a year or so. Classes on how to carry, when to use the firearm, and what to expect if you do are a very good idea. If you operate a car and run over someone you better be insured. If you shoot someone you better be insured. That’s my opinion, the fact it was a legal shoot doesn’t stop a lawsuit. The required level of guilt proof needed is lower in a lawsuit (ask OJ). Education is good. If you decide to carry, it’s 24/7 not when it’s convenient. Don’t leave home or be home without it. IMHO
Mosaad Ayoob is a good place to start.

The sooner we get BACK to constitutional carry in the entire US, the better. Whether it’s by legislation or by court case, people deserve to be able to exercise their God-given rights free of interference from the government.

The right to self-defense is a human right. Denial of that right is a violation of human rights.

If our nit-wit RINO Governor knew how to read and write, he could sign the bill.

Congratulations! Looks like it’s going to pass pretty quickly. Indiana is a much more free state than the states that we see a lot of negative comments from. :)

"Repeal the Lautenberg amendment."

Yes. Remember Dr. Emerson (imprisoned for nothing more than false accusations from his ex and possession of a weapon).

Maybe Indiana should become a “2nd Amendment Sanctuary” state.

Indiana and Tennessee look set to become the 19th and 20th constitutional carry states this year. Bravo.
