It’s like they don’t understand that in religion, the mere act of THINKING about having sex with someone who you are not married to is a sin, and that temptation is what she is talking about.
Flee temptation is an actual thing taught in the Bible.
Don’t put yourself in a position where temptation might overcome you.
It’s like being mad if she told parents not to print out naked pictures and paste them on their walls where their children could see them.
Note that we have literal laws that prohibit anybody sending naked pictures of minors to other people — we don’t say “hey, those other people simply shouldn’t look at them, or shouldn’t react to them, so there is no reason NOT to let people send them”.
The Bible does tell women to dress modestly...
Proverbs 11:22 “Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion.”
1 Timothy 2:9-10 “Paul said: I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.”
Women have responsibilities as well!
Men will be judged for their inner thoughts and motives certainly...but so will the women! Men are often accused of not being honest with themselves but so can the women be so accused when they try to justify wearing sexually revealing clothing by accusing others of having “dirty minds”!
Both men and women were judged at Sinai for their corrupt activities before the golden calf! Men AND women were destroyed when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah!
This teacher speaks correctly, never mind the flack she is getting.
