The problem in ILLinois is that they made sure large amounts of the vaccines are being sent to the south and west sides of Chicago (“The Hood”) where they are sitting unused and expiring while the rest of the state can’t even come close to providing vaccines to meet the demand.
Mayor Groot proudly announced a few days ago that they were distributing the vaccine based in race and ethnicity. She would rather give the vaccine to a healthy black 18 year old than an 85 year old white person in a nursing home.
BINGO! I was wondering how many posts it’d take to point to Hellinois’ “equity” in vaccinations as being the problem and you’re spot-on.
