Jojo Rabbit was interesting. It had some great filmmaking, but I may disagree with most people about the film. I thought the relationship between the boy and the young lady was amazing. Most of the last 30 to 40 minutes were great. The fall of Berlin.
I did not think the gimmick of the boy's imaginary friend worked all so well. If I was talking to the director, I would have taken all that out and focused on what I thought was the heart of the movie.
The writer/director, Taika Waititi, played Hitler. I loved his depiction of that idiot.
Taika is so clever, and does such amazing interviews, I told my friends that if I win a big lottery jackpot, I’ll hire him to sit on my couch 3 hours a day and talk about anything.
