It’s almost apples v. oranges. When it comes to technical virtuosity and composition Kath wins. But, Lindsay had an incredibly powerful sound and beautiful tone that I’ve never heard anyone come close to. You really had to see him live to appreciate it. It al depends what most appeals to you. Ace Frehley of Kiss has been rightfully criticized for not having much in the way of guitar chops but the guy consistently came up with incredibly appealing riffs and solos which made the early Kiss stuff.
