“Among the vicissitudes incident to life no event could have filled me with greater anxieties than that of which the notification was transmitted by your order...The magnitude and difficulty of the trust to which the voice of my country called me, being sufficient to awaken in the wisest and most experienced of her citizens a distrustful scrutiny into his qualifications, could not but overwhelm with despondence one, who, inheriting inferior endowments from nature and unpracticed in the duties of civil administration, ought to be peculiarly conscious of his own deficiencies.” – George Washington, First Inaugural Address, April 30, 1789

“You are afraid of the one – I, of the few. We agree perfectly that the many should have a full, fair and perfect Representation.—You are Apprehensive of Monarchy; I, of Aristocracy. I would therefore have given more Power to the President and less to the Senate.” – John Adams, Letter to Thomas Jefferson, December 6, 1787

“The danger is that the indulgence and attachments of the people will keep a man in the chair after he becomes a dotard...General Washington set the example of voluntary retirement after eight years. I shall follow it. And a few more precedents will oppose the obstacle of habit to any one after awhile who shall endeavor to extend his term.” – Thomas Jefferson, Letter to John Taylor, January 6, 1805

“No man who ever held the office of President would congratulate a friend on obtaining it. He will make one man ungrateful, and a hundred men his enemies, for every office he can bestow.” – John Adams, Upon the election of his son, John Quincy Adams, to the presidency, 1824

Wonderful.

Now go to the Constitution as the ONLY legal authority for ANY legitimate federal power including the executive Branch.

If it’s not in the Constitution is is NOT a legitimate federal government power.

The greatest threat to our lives, fortunes, and sacred honor isn’t China, Big Tech, or the Man in the Moon. It is the 80%+ unconstitutional portion of the basically totalitarian Federal Government.

Great! Undo several amendments, and we are in business! 16th and 17th for starters.

It has been said many times that the founder's had great foresight and that's true but Thomas Jefferson's was so great, he envisioned Joe Biden.

Jefferson also envisioned Chuck Schumer, Mitch McConnell and Nazi Pelosi. 8 years should have been an absolute limit for every elected position.

Do you ever wonder how it was that the America of the 1750s produced so many political geniuses? The population of the 13 colonies in 1750 was not quite 1.2 million, a bit less than the population of the Bronx today.

Here’s a list of famous Bronx politicians from Google: Peter A. Abeles, Melville E. Abrams, Robert Abrams, Bella Abzug, Eugenio Alvarez, James R. Angel, Benjamin Antin. Nope not a Washington, Jefferson or Adams in the bunch.

I couldn’t name a single politician in the past 50 years that has the intelligence, wisdom, judgment or articulation that was close to any of the Founding Fathers. We are led by idiots. Idiots with money and often university degrees, but idiots nonetheless.

Ronald Regan certainly had the eloquence, but he was not the intellectual equal of the Founding Fathers. His political philosophy was solid, but his greatest gift was delivering lines that his speech writing team devolved in a powerful, persuasive manner.

one of his most memorable speeches was on the day in 1983 the US invaded Grenada to save it from the clutches of communism. The media had quickly turned public opinion against the invasion, but in one compelling speech President Reagan rallied Americans to the justness of freedom. It is worth watching. (The speech also addressed the bombing of the US Barracks in Beirut)

Sorry, but you couldn't be more wrong.

I grew up listening to and reading his speeches.

So did I. A brilliant communicator, a solid conservative and a great Patriot who loved America. Reagan himself never claimed to be a great intellect and either did Donald Trump, but they are two of America’s greatest Presidents. Praising the greatness of the Founding Fathers does not denigrate either man.

But pretending that Reagan intellect was less than the founder’s, while your opinion, is less than accurate and does a disservice to Reagan’s legacy.
