After Porter walked off the House floor overcome with emotion, Rep. Vernon Smith, D-Gary, reiterated concerns about discrimination and spoke about his own experiences facing discrimination as a Black man, being pulled over for "driving while Black" and being denied access to certain places because of the color of his skin.

I don’t believe it either.

Uh that sh!t might go over in New York or California but not so much in Indiana. Truth be told if we could somehow move Gary over to Illinois, Indiana would be considerably better off and the Land of Lincoln wouldn’t know the difference.
