I suspect the Cuomos have some pretty tight mafia connections and pushback is more apt to be damaging to the pushers back.

Joe will be too mentally decrepit to run in 24 if there are normal elections as circa 2000. Those days are gone, though. If they want to run Joe six months post mortem he will, of course, “win.”
