Heh...indeed.
Who used to pick out all of the Crunchberries first?
You do know you can buy boxes of only the Crunchberries now. It seems picking them out was so popular it created a new branding.

He’s An Impostor, The Navy Says About Cap’n Crunch

I know, it was posted almost five years ago. But I'm thinking many of those who read it back then are dead now so I'm re-posting for the benefit of those new Freepers who are still alive to read it.
😆
FReeper Cap’n Crunch last posted in 2016. Hope he’s okay.
That other link was to a random article from 2013.
It’s a tragedy what they did to Tryx. Absolute pellets of flavored cardboard. Might as well use them for packing.
The roof of my mouth started bleeding just reading this.
I’ll admit, I pick up one of those single serving cups of CC every now and then.
this was contraband in my house growing up. My brother and I would sneak junk food in the house when my mother went back to work when we were teens. It didn’t taste as good as I had imagine it would.
The box and packaging likely cost more than the grain in it.
agree on both points. I like steel cut oats. Cook for 2 minutes. Sit for 5. Served with almonds, grapes and blueberries
never liked CC.
I honestly understand why some folks would want to denigrate Cap’n Crunch as some “stolen valor”-type pretender. Media is full of examples of “Captain” characters and they never get singled out as stolen-valor pretenders.
To Crunch’s credit: I don’t believe he ever claimed service in the US Navy. I don’t think he enforces any sort of “address me Captain...” behavior. As near as I can tell, the kids in his crew call him “Captain” voluntarily. I don’t think anyone ever saluted him or tendered him any other honors due to the captain of a ship.
But...if he really only holds the rank of Commander and not Captain (by virtue of the way he is/was drawn in some cartoon navy) it’s my understsnding that as the ranking and commanding officer aboard a sea-going vessel, the crew would still address him as “Captain”, even though he is not a post captain.
Agh! s/b “I honestly DON’T understand...”
Who hired this white sea captain to pilot his slave ship...
To enslave this poor black woman for 131 years before callously tossing her aside so that packaging could be purged of any person of color to ensure white purity would reign?
That white supremacist?
Cap’n Crunch found dead today.
Police suspect serial killer.
Also suspected in the deaths of Count Chocula and Toucan Sam.
It's not of this earth; it comes from the Twinkieverse!
