And as a senator of Texas, while I am no longer a resident, If you were my senator, I would be absolutely outraged that he skipped town because it was cold leaving the state were ready was suffering a storm and power issues, to go south to Mexico. How many days did it take Biden to respond, at least he finally did, but not very well. Maybe the government might’ve responded sooner, and more responsive, had Senator Cruz spoke up for his constituents instead of skipping town and the country. Even here, even if you can’t, admits this was an incredibly stupid move on his part. Personally I think he should resign, let Abbott appoint a credible Republican to represent the state.

I like Cruz, but I think he has some flaws that may do him in. The trouble is it is very hard to replace someone like him. I hope her survives this for the sake of the Republican party and the country. I believe he will prevail, when considering the democrat alternatives.
