Harry and Meghan aren’t all that different from most of the ruling class minions in America. They think that “public service” means that the public serves them.
Meagan has gotten what she wants, title, publicity, money, all fleeting. It’s Harry that is paying the price of losing family.

In royal circles they remain much loved, but now have about as much official standing as a pair of corgis. And why should anyone in the world beyond care about them or what they think? It is no secret that Harry and Meghan were once so desperate to flee the deprivations and imagined horrors of royal life they didn't even have the decency to alert the Queen to their escape plans. Yet it remains fascinating that despite the growing disdain they now seem to harbour for the House of Windsor, they have never been quite appalled enough to consider giving up being a Duke and a Duchess.

This is a British thing which I don’t get because I’m an American. Is it true that Meghan and Harry are spoiled? Probably. But I don’t blame them for wanting to do their own thing. Certainly I can see the value of the Royal Family doing the service for their country. But that is a medieval tradition which has no place in 21st Century. If I’m a Brit, I would vote to abolish the Royal Family and turn the nation into a Republic.
