Coal, a mechanism to increase employment without stealing money from the taxpayers.

Sounds good to me.

It is thought that there will be in excess of 75,000 suicides in the USA resulting from the covid lockdown, crushing the citizens to death with debt.
If mining coal saves only...

Maybe. Realizing AGW (the climate crisis) is a scam is smart. Utilizing national resources to energize your nation is a wise thing to do, but the more the government is involved, the more inefficiency, sloth, & corruption will occur.

Chavez & Maduro nearly destroyed the oil industry & utilities services are a nightmare in Venezuela. Obrador could do just as bad in Mexico.

When will politicians figure out that government run ANYTHING never functions as well as private enterprise?
