Rapini/broccoli rabe is a relative of turnips. They refer to a broccoli mixed with gai lan in this article. But there are actually more than one vegetable known as broccolini, but they are all related.

Rapini is great, if you like the bitter flavor, which I do.

So do I, But I haven’t seen it in North Carolina...and I miss a luchen sandwich of braised chicken with steamed Broccoli rabe, Garlic and olive oil.
That makes my day...
