Montana Law prior to this was sort of stupid. One could carry open/concealed anywhere in the state (no permit required), outside of city zones. Once in the city, you had to have a permit to carry concealed, yet you could still carry open. stooopid! Con carry just removed the stooopid. Try to open carry when it’s -20f outside while wearing an overcoat of any worth.
