Thanks for all the advice. I called a rep in N.C. after watching a diy video. He quoted me the complete package. Seat, track and installation hardware. Up to 168 inches straight flight. I was quite happy with the price quote $2,023.00
Compared to other research I thought it was very reasonable. The company is Ameriglide.

...that sounds about right. The labor savings is probably $400-$500.
We have an Acorn Stairlift here at my house. Main floor to second floor. Have had it for a while with good performance. Removed it for a couple years and then had to re-install it after my wife was in an accident. Company seems pretty customer friendly and has responded well to questions I had when a switch wore out.
Like most of the units out there , this one runs off batteries and power outages aren’t a problem.
