If you are going to depend on renewable sources for such a large percentage of your electricity then wouldn’t it have made sense to use wind generators that work in winter? Same for your gas, coal, and nuclear plants?

As I understand it the wind turbines in Texas have a de-icing feature available that might have helped with freeze up, but Texas for some reason opted to NOT have that feature installed on their wind turbines.

Heard that yesterday either on OANN or newsmax.

Somebody wanted to save $$ I would assume.
