In 1991 a co-worker told me about rush. Back then we all had little radios in our offices. A few of us would eat lunch together for an hour in one of our offices and listen to Rush together. I was 32 years old..... and it was a great time in my life. Rush did not convert me. He just magically said what we thought.... and in such an entertaining way.
For over thirty years listened about every week day at noon either in my car during lunch or in my office. Going to be difficult for the next few days.
I always enjoyed him when traveling with my wife and just listening when driving. Will miss him this summer as we are traveling to Florida. Really hurts thinking about him not being with us.
Too many humorous things I’ve heard over the years to mention. His work with Paul Shanklin was priceless. Jessie Jackson’s version of Paul Anka’s “Having my Baby” and Rev Sharpton’s version of Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline” / “Feed Caroline” were hilarious.
