Some things I remember:
1. The Rev. Louis Farrakhan commercial for “Million Man Math.. made easy!”
2. Rush’s impression of James Carville, and the Larry King promo with Carville telling everyone that Ken Starr was a little green man from mars getting all your kids hooked on cigarettes.
3. Anytime he talked about his cat.
4. His “True story of Thanksgiving” he did before the Thanksgiving break every year.
5. The “We meet at dawn” speech the day before election day.
6. When President Trump would call in.
7. When he talked about music — as a former DJ he had a lot of musical knowledge.
I’ll add a few more:
8. If I remember this correctly there was a young lady who called in and Rush wound up making an agreement with her to cover her college tuition.
9. He had some of best bumpers, probably due to his music knowledge, and during Christmas season he would play Mannheim Steamroller.
10. When he announced his deafness.
11. When he announced his addiction and his hiatus to go to rehab. I listened to WMAL in DC during that time and I remember Chris Core afterwards starting a big discussion about pain management, pain killer addiction.
12. When he would surprise callers by gifting them a sleep number bed, or some other prize.
Classic tradition
I was listening the day before this (2020) election. It just occurred to me...Rush did NOT say that at the end of the show before this election.
Am I imagining things?
