One Fall, many years ago, when my sons were in High School here in Central Florida, their HS football team steamrolled undefeated across the state. In some cases the scores became so lopsided that they had to run the "mercy clock" just to get the game over with.

At the end of the season they went to the state playoffs. The week before the big game, my oldest son told me that their opponent from South Florida had "some great quarterback named Tebow".

The following Friday night there was "no joy in Mudville".
