True, but don't discount the possibility Guiliani asked to be released. Both of them need a season's rest before coming out swinging. Releasing Rudy gives Trump a 'non-position' going forward, for lack of a better word.
In steep contast, Rudy is the force majeure in the Hunter Biden prosecution, having received John Paul's copy of Crackxead's hard drive revealing every detail Hunter's billion-dollar grifting from the Ukraine and Xi/CCP/PLA.
And to make a side-point -- Rudy's regular trips to Bannon have revealed this much -- Rudy knows, literally knows and has the receipts of, more than enough to bring down Xiden right. this. second.
Trump doesn't need that particular anti-Xiden tie-in this moment, not until it becomes useful when Nancy attempts to 25A Xiden, and then Trump-viz-Rudy may pounce or further down the road; but there is no doubt in my mind Rudy has shared the contents with Trump and we are all in a waiting game for the moment.
