I flew cross country once sitting next to a woman pediatrician. She said that most of the sick children who come into her office need nothing but letting the body deal with the cuurent illness. BUT MOMMY’S will DEMAND she prescribe medicine. If she says they don’t need any the MOMMY’S will threaten to go elsewhere.

That's why urgent care doctors are much more likely to prescribe medication, than non-urgent care doctors. Urgent care doctors depend more on, "making the customer happy."

Doctors who prescribe antibiotics when unnecessary are making it worse for all of us.
