That site about “surface stations” is probably the one that shows how the sites have changed over time. 20 years ago the weather station is 100’ out in a field, now it is in the middle of an asphalt parking lot.
At our local zoo the station was in a field. Then they built a new “green” building to talk about the environment, habitat, etc. Lots of cool exhibits for the kids to get hands-on.
But - the weather station is now about 10 feet from the huge exhaust vents for the mostly underground building’s a/c system! Surrounded by other equipment sitting on a bed of gravel.
Oh wow, that’s amazing. Being in compliance with their own laws is not the democrats’ strong suit.
I like the photos taken at Surface Stations. Outrageous hypocrisy and good for a laugh, though the site needs updating.
