The Who have cancelled their UK and Ireland tour that was scheduled for next month.
The 10-date jaunt, which was due to kick off in Dublin on March 5 and end in Manchester on March 29, will no longer go ahead due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
“Please excuse the delay but we wanted to wait as long as possible to see if we could indeed play them. However, as you can see the current situation makes this impossible. Thanks for all your wonderful support and we hope to see you in the future when conditions allow.”

First concert I ever saw was the Quadrophenia Tour at Madison Square Garden, 1974 (after wearing that album out every day for almost a year). My ears were ringing for about a week after that. Quadrophenia defined my adolescence to a tee back then...To this day, I can’t visit a beach without hearing “Sea and Sand” playing in my head (and so many of the other songs off that album - the sounds of waves crashing and tides rolling is a motif throughout the album).
That’s how I want to remember The Who...not a pair of grissled old blokes trying to get on without their two friends (the group was 4, not 2, distinct and awesome talents).

Just happened to catch the Who last time they were in Louisville, March 2016. Hubs work at the time had free tickets. They were in the nosebleeds but we didn’t give a damn, it’s the Who and hubs and I knew the chances of them coming through again were probably slim to none. As a pair of 40yr olds, we were just thrilled to get a chance to see them here in our hometown and we thoroughly enjoyed the show.
And after listening to Entwistle’s bass on “The Real Me”, or Moon’s drums throughout the album, can anyone today really say the are going to a Who concert?
Here’s Pete playing the whole thing before he taught it to the band

Since the Who already played through a pandemic in a disaster area they should be able to give it a go
Hey, In would party with these old guys, Keef Richards too.
Ps, charlie watts and ringo star are invited to the party, bring cards and dice, but leave sir paul behind, ringo say he’s abit fookin faggy.
Thanks for sharing. Good stuff !
I saw the Pink version five or six times between Ummagumma and Animals. Much prefer their early work before DSOTM.
Mai I suggest The HU from Mongolia if the Brit WHO aren’t around. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4xZUr0BEfE
Stay away from the other WHO though. Even though it’s gone viral it came out of China.
If you need a Doctor call Tom Baker.
“Rabbit has been around a very long time”
Rabbit hasn’t been the Touring Keyboardist in many years. Apparently drinking and possible mental health issues did him in.
