So, if you sing with your child in your living after 5:00 PM, does that violate child labor laws?
I’m surprised they allow kids to do chores.
I worked in Germany for a month.
I offered to work the weekend to get something done in time (looming deadlines, limited time there).
German manager was horrified: “if you do that, I’ll go to jail.” Working outside assigned hours was verboten.
It sounds like it could be ok, if you filled out the proper forms and “got approval from the authorities”.

Reminds me of a Snowbird Yankee getting upset at my father because I was working on the roof at age 12 with my father (roofer). The Yankee threaten to call the union on my father. My father got a good laugh about it. We don’t have unions in the South.
I could have been out doing drugs and stealing instead of learning a trade. I did learn not to be a roofer as an adult. Another important value I learn: I could never live up North.
