For me the 1980s were an incredible time to be alive in America. Not that I've done too shabbily since but that decade was what made me what I am today. I was 17 when they started and 27 when they ended.
I really haven't changed much since I was 27. The course of my life was set in those 1980s.

For me the 1980s were an incredible time to be alive in America. It was. And, it was reflected in the music of the decade. Songs like "Walking on Sunshine" to the "Future's So Bright (I've Gotta Wear Shades) and even upbeat, good-time hard rock of big hair metal bands.
It's not surprising it all happened when Ronald Reagan was President.

Can’t forget Miami Vice (and all of the music they threw in there, besides Jan Hammer).
