I would think that if they were confident the vaccine works they would use the vaccine as an inducement that if you get the vaccine you won’t need a mask anymore. Lots of people would make sure they’d get it.

I’m sure you’re correct and I would expect the message to change as soon as they get the data they need. This whole ‘pandemic’ has been characterized by the phrase ‘in an abundance of caution’. The second thing I think is holding this up is how does one know if those around have been vaccinated? You can readily observe if one is wearing a mask but there’s no visible indication of the vaccination.
I’m sure there would be many who would get the vaccination just to drop all these protocols. And, I’m sure there would also be many who would not be happy at those who refuse the vaccination if that means masking mandates continue.
