Put it this way: 25 years ago, Jim Robinson created a web site for right-wingers to discuss politics with other right-wingers. We don’t need Gab for THAT. What we need is a web site wherein conservatives have a voice within a larger marketplace of ideas.

here is always room for more conservative sites, same as there are plenty of liberal sites.
Not to mention Gab is totally different from Freerepublic.
Gab is like Twitter only far better. You don't have to deal with far left nonsense if you don't want to. They have the block and the mute buttons.
However, Dems and liberals are welcome. Its a free speech site. You can post whether you are liberal or conservative. You can post politically correct or politically incorrect stuff. Andrew Torba has always stressed that point otherwise he will be just like Twitter only the other way round, which is exactly what he doesn't want to be.
