Said another way, the press doen't care if it has credibility, and at bottom, it doesn't need any. It just asserts that it is credible, and if you don't believe that, you are wrong. See Brian Stelter, Jake Tapper, scores of other prime-time A-list "faces of truth, justice and the American way." Not a shred of credibility in the entire lot of them (Russian collusion ring a bell?) and they are all carrying on, business as usual.
