Thanks I will check out LineageOS, sounds promising.

I use a Samsung S7 with Android 8 (9 does more spying). I bought Android Business Calendar app as it is suppose to omit Google spying but it doesn’t even after back forth communicating with BC app.

Yes Google spy and stores every text and calendar entry. When you search for something in your texts or calendar, it goes and searches on Google server instead of in the app on my phone. That is why it takes so long.

Ever set calendar entry to have no reminders? The Google app turns reminders for both email and text popup notifications reminders back on😡

We need an app that deGoogles your phone, that would hit #1 fast.

Gab may or may not have a future phone coming?

There are a lot of third party calender apps. Why not pick one from a big reputable developer? Don’t pick one called “Joe’s Calendar App” that has 429 downloads. :)

Outlook is available for Android as a free download. I don’t worry as much about Microsoft because I consider them “big stupid” rather than “big evil” (Google).

I installed a custom OS on my nine year old Galaxy Note 2. Did not install the Gapps package, which is a separate component that installs the usual Google garbage. Phone runs fantastic and no Google crap/spyware on it at all. To be able to install apps on it one simply installs an app called “Aurora Store” which allows you to download and install whatever apps you need from the Google Play store. It acts as a go-between between your phone and the store - no Google account required. Works flawlessly. Highly recommend you give it a shot.
