I wouldn't expect anything from the military to be accurate unless such accuracy was part of a larger plan of deceit.
Years ago there was a novel, “Little Green Men” written by Christopher Buckley, William’s son. it was about the US government trying to intimidate the Russians by claiming that it had alien technology. They would abduct women, claiming they were aliens, and hope the women would go to the media about the abduction, supporting their story of having alien technology. Very funny novel.
