If Pelosi runs the Capitol Police, as you claim, then why wouldn't she fire him? There were calls for Sund's resignation from both sides of the aisle.

And why would she tap someone to lead the Jan. 6th security investigation? Just that action would lead any clear thinking person that she has more power than she or anyone else is letting on.

Because as the Speaker she would appoint the head of any House investigation.

My point is that someone gave the order to rescind all security measures on that day. And if one person has the power to force someone to step down and also has the sole power to call for an investigation, then Pelosi just may be where the security buck stops.

Pelosi didn't have the authority to order anything like that.
