What I did was to comment on the fact that I had cut out a yellow star and placed it on an N-95 mask and wore it one time. I said people looked at me weirdly not knowing what my mask was all about.
After I posted my comment to my sister's page all hell broke lose and my liberal Jewish brother-in-law wrote a venomous 8 paragraph screed, and he finished it off with verbally kicking me out of my own family - with several other blood relatives chiming in.
But my statement was true. There is really no difference between being forced to put a yellow star on your jacket and being forced to wear a face mask in order to enter a store. Both are being fueled by force and fear.
I fully understand Gina's take and I have felt the brunt of stupid people.
