That is why Parler (and other free-speech platforms) was such a huge threat to BigTech platforms.
If FreeRepublic were a bigger player, everyone who posts here would be under severe attack. And FreeRepublic is older than many of the young upstarts
I joined Twitter for the SOLE purpose of reading Trump’s tweets. The second I heard Trump was banned I closed my account.
I miss Trump’s tweets but there is absolutely NOTHING else about Twitter that I miss.
It use to be twitter was the ONLY way to get your message out without the filter of the big media. Twitter and big media saw how effective it was for Trump and conservatives they shut it down.
I never joined Twitter, Facebook, or any other social media site until I joined Parler the end of June. I joined because a lot of people were starting to be banned from Twitter, and thought I'd try it out. Then of course it got de-platformed. So I joined Gab, but I don't spend much time on it. I guess Free Republic spoiled me. Been here for 23+ years, and find FR to be a much friendlier place, despite the handful of knuckleheads that pop up every-so-often.
