Thanks for sharing the info on your grandfather who grew up in the Ukraine. Did the parents of your grandfather and his brother have to stay in Ukraine? Must have sent their kids to America to stay with relatives?
From what I know, they somehow got their kids, my Grandpa and my Great-uncle out of Ukraine as U.S. soldiers in WWI. No relatives here.
When I started on the internet in early 1991 I could find records about my Grandfather in the army. Not any more.
