Wow, what a blessing that he told you these things. What else did he say? What city or town was he living in? I presume he was a young man when he was caught in the revolution.

He was 19ish.

His pride and joy was a white stallion that he helped birth. It was his stallion and they stole it.

His next job was an American soldier in WWI along with his brother. (both built like line backers.) Don’t know how his parents got their kids out of Russia so fast. ( I do know I owe them big time.)

His parents died in a few years after the revolution. (I suspected starved to death.)

They had farm land close to Kiev.

Have an army tin plate my Gramps carved in WWI.

It says Camp Shateau Baleonjre. May 26, 1919.

Can anyone help me with this?
