A salesman telling lies is attempted robbery. A government telling lies is armed robbery.

Emissions are proportional to price. If something is expensive there is much energy consumption and pollution production going on somewhere. To find out where, just follow the money.

For nuclear power, the emissions mostly take place in the construction and decommissioning phases (assuming no catastrophic failure phase), however the production phase also produces massive greenhouse gas emissions in the form of water vapor.

Nuclear power has proven to be expensive and dangerous. "New and improved" is a tough sell. It has its niche uses, but attempting to use it to power an economy is foolish.
