***if it doesn’t work for you, try the CBD cream***
I will keep that in mind. Since this pain centers around the spine, up to now only systemic treatment has worked. Topical creams have had negligible effect, although rubs and heating pads do give temporal relief. Thanks for the lead. With chronic pain any possible relief is welcome.

I tried CBD cream and it didn’t do anything for me. I use aspercreme, works better for me. A good massage does wonders, but expensive.

My primary recommended I try it after another patient told him about the CBD cream. He had sent the other patient to the pain clinic at Duke and that is what they recommended there. If you are interested in the brand, etc. LMK and I will tell you. It is spendy though.

My V.A. PCP is not a fan of CBD. does it work? who knows...might be a placebo effect.
I've been using 10% lidocaine that I can't get here...had to go to china for it. I think this works great. I forgot I had used it and I touched my lips...it was like Novacaine. China sells it for "tatoo removal". Keeps me playing golf.
My V.A. oncology\hematology RN is a fan of CBD but won't endorse it because of my PCP.
She DID endorse and prescribed- and I just got it in the mail (haven't tried it yet) this:
Stay well...
