We live in hurricane country, too....but, are now facing a winter storm/freeze.
We’re thankful for our whole house/natural gas generator.
It’s paid for itself, over and over, since Hurricane Rita.
We have it serviced every summer.
I can believe it. I would perhaps have a whole house generator if we had natural gas... even researched running my car on it. Alas, none in this neighborhood. The only natural gas vehicle 'pumps' available are for city buses. sigh
The El Presidenté Admin is going to eliminate natural gas also. Perhaps you can run your generator on wood... 😡
