The worst problems in the Metroplex are the Yankees that know how to drive on snow.
This isn’t snow, it’s ice. And the proper response is to sit at home for a couple of days until it melts.
Roads are actually pretty good north of Dallas. The bridges can be iffy, but as long as you don’t brake or hit the gas, you’re probably OK.

If you think drivers don’t deal with ice up north, only snow, then I’d like to invite you to see the roads in Madison, Wisconsin today. It ain’t easy and you can’t rush it.

Agreed—there is no “safe” way to drive on ice.
Been there, done that—slid off the road at _five_ miles per hour....

Speaking of quality... are the roads in Texas (local and interstate) still some of the best taken care of, across all of the states?
We could use some of that here in the communist state of Hawaii. Potholes here can break your neck, and the busses don't know what vehicle shocks are >.<
(more off-topic, the bus drivers only know 2 things here, STOP and GO. If the potholes don't break your neck, their slamming the brake pedal through the floorboard will!)
