Britt Reid is no longer a member of the Kansas City Chiefs coaching staff.
The 35-year-old son of Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was placed on leave through the duration of his contract, which has since expired, meaning he is no longer an employee off the club, ESPN reported Wednesday.
The Chiefs on Tuesday announced that Britt Reid was placed on administrative leave during an investigation into a traffic accident that left two young children injured, one critically.

He can go back to being the Green Hornet now.
Get drunk and hurt one of my kids... you’re gonna get whacked.
Good! What a loser!
In 2007 it stated he was sentenced to 8-23 months. This was at least 13 years ago so which was it? Did he spend 8 months or 23 months in prison? Also this would be his second DUI which would be automatic jail time, but the article states he has not been charged with a crime. If he want the son of Andy Reid, don’t you think he would have failed a sobriety test and given a breathalyzer test indicating he was drunk? Strange that he ids like Teflon and no charges. Is he getting the Teddy Kennedy treatment or what?
I can’t believe the Chiefs would hire this guy unless he was part of Coach Reid’s deal.
He served time for running a drug emporium alongside his since deceased-from-heroin brother, settled a road rage lawsuit and is taking the prescription adderall for attention deficit disorder....And he’s not a child.
A real headscratcher!
Presumably he was on the staff so his father, Andy Reid, could keep an eye on him and not because there were no better linebacker coaches available. Given that one child is in critical condition, that didn’t work out so well. Apparently another of Reid’s sons died from a heroin overdose - there’s a history of substance abuse in that family.
I'm not saying this incident had an effect on the game but...
Gotta believe Andy was just an absent father who spoiled his sons with money their whole lives.
Maybe. But he has 5 children. Two turned out not so great. He’s been married since 1981 which is amazing today. Lol.
Fat Andy might be a helluva a coach, but he is getting 'F's as a father.
His two sons were addicts, drugs and alcohol, one is dead from an OD the other is in serious trouble {again} and fat Andy is worried about his QB's toe and his O-Line.
The dude might want to re-think his agenda.
Also what is odd is the Reids are a bunch of Mormons, at least the Coach and his wife are.
LOL, come June, we will have been married 60 years!!! and that is really amazing .
just sharing...
The lure of drugs happens in ‘good families’ also.
I know a guy who was dealing drugs when he was in high school. Went on to have a mansion in Malibu, Calif. Everyone believes he is the model of small town success. DID NOT get good grades, but got a diploma in high school.
Parents think the sun rises & sets on their only boy.
Both parents are clueless, and they were rather attentive parents, altho they did spoil him. Mom stqayed home-—and still he got away with plenty.
Didn’t have to have a summer teen age job. Used the family boat every day all summer long, on Daddy’s gas account.
I am convinced that that ‘boat’ was his delivery vehicle for the drugs he was dealing.
How do I know all of this?
His ‘best friend’ lived at my house for a few months with him after high school. Left a diary behind, detailing lots of bad behavior of the kid dealing drugs. I still have that diary....one day-—Parents are going to get an eyeful.
Love it! I hope you get a ton more.
Not really, his two sons just turned out to be wankers.
