I’m starting to believe that the deep-state/permanent bureaucracy in DC wants elected Representatives to make asses of themselves.
Americans already have a low opinion of Congress. By turning it into a constant clown show, it makes people much more likely to accept unelected, “professional” bureaucratic dictatorship.
I’m convinced that Democrat politicians largely consist of frustrated would-be actors and actresses. They have an irresistible penchant for bad theatre, and love to pal around with real entertainers.
