While the purpose which this video was created was to condemn "McCarthyism" it could not be clearer today who the so called McCarthites are. (Using their term not mine) for what its worth, McCarthy should be hailed a hero today having been fully vindicated for warning us of the infiltration of the "reds"

I can remember my grandmother watching those hearings when I was about 10 years old, and her commenting that he was a patriot who was being demonized by Communist politicians. What we need today an army of McCarthyites that have the courage to expose the Communists in every sector of the private and the public institutions in our once-great country. A good start would be the rebirth of the HUAC!
Agreed! I always admired Michelle Bachman for sounding the alarm about radical islam. I compared her to Sen. McCarthy. The definition of patriotism.
I hailed McCarthy to a moderate republican some time back and his response was, how many innocent individuals he slandered.

Never heard of him before but after reading his bio, I would agree. He sounded the alarm against unrestricted immigration. Look at their issues today. His warning was spot on.

The communists of today have perfected fascist tactics of yesterday.
They used the same rhetoric to disparage Barry Goldwater, Ronald Reagan, Rush Limbaugh et al.
it ceases to mean anything when they say “so and so is a fascist”. AF says ALL police are fascists and the GW Bush was a Fascist.
I can point out where the Left applauds Communists and their politics, holding them up as idols, quoting from their texts, etc.
I don’t see any so called “far right extremists” (Goldwater, Reagan, Trump) quoting Hitler, Franco, Mussolini, etc.
An excellent read on “McCarthyism” is “McCarthy and His Enemies” by William Buckley and Brent Bozell (no longer in print). McCarthy proved there was essentially no screening of State Department employees as they were being hired, which was the true scandal. He did accuse perhaps three people of having links to communism without having adequate evidence, which has been used since as a diversion by communists and communist sympathizers. McCarthy was vindicated over time as those with links to communism were slowly exposed and rooted out. This book makes it very clear the Democrats were more concerned about their re-electability than protecting our country. The Democrats today are far worse.
I’ve heard the John Birch Society slammed as a racist/fascist group. Allegedly one of the leaders honored some white supremacist.
I’ve never dug deep into the details and with them calling Goldwater a segregationist, Rush, Reagan and Trump “racists” etc I know how the tactic plays out in real time.
I have a record album “Bipartisan Treason” from the 1960s about the Uniparty. There is a version of the speech on youtube but it isn’t verbatim what is on the record. He tells a joke/story about the grateful dog being fed his own tail.

They attacked the TEA Party, Christians, the military, and so on.

I like Larry Elder but he can belabor a point to the point of redundancy. I get it that not everyone listens to his whole broadcast or every day but it gets repetative at times.

Note that the referenced post-FDR era dams probably could not be justified under Congress’s constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers in the first place, the Constitution needing to be amended imo.
