A sandwich like this would require a lot of pills, and if I dose wrong I’ll be calling in to work the next day.

ah- i never tried the stuff myself- I can eat a it of cheese, but not much- milk- no way- i should give lactaid a try though to see what happens-
I make Clam Chowder with Lactaid Whole Milk instead of cream for my wife and she reports no problems.

I use a few more spices and more clam juice with less milk
Likewise I use one can of chopped clams and one can of whole clams
